Summary
The first financial year of the Integrated Business Accounts System took place in 1994 and 1995 and was disseminated in May 1998. Since then, the Accounts Systems have been used and disseminated for the years 1995/1996 and 1996/1997.
The information now released for the two-year period 1997/1998 is presented following the same model already used previously: the results are presented by employment size and for 23 sectors of economic activity, following the Portuguese Classification of Economic Activities – Revision 2 (CAE-Rev.2) and include economic accounts and their respective balances (value added, gross operating surplus, current gross profit before taxes and self-financing), balance sheet tables, cash flow statements as well as economic and financial indicators.
