Summary
In this publication, Statistics Portugal discloses for the first time national data of the Economic Accounts on Agriculture, Base 95, for the years 1995 to 1999, which results from the implementation of the Manual on Economic Accounts on Agriculture and Forestry 1997 (Rev. 1.1), implementing the rules of the System of the National and Regional Accounts (ESA 95). At the start of the preparation and release of the Economic Accounts on Agriculture in line with the new methodology, it was deemed important that the respective results were accompanied by a detailed presentation of the main methodological notes, as well as a by a more in-depth analysis of the new figures obtained and their comparison with Base 86 figures.
