Summary
The "Monetary and Financial Statistics 2002" provide — for Financial Intermediation, Section J of the Portuguese Classification of Economic Activities (CAE-Rev.2), the Portuguese version of NACE Rev.1 — figures to the 2001 and 2002 accounting years. The data scope comprises all entities whose main economic activity is included in the following NACE Rev.1 divisions:
- Financial Intermediation, except Insurance and Pension Funds (NACE Rev.1 65);
- Insurance and Pension Funding, except compulsory social security (NACE Rev.1 66);
- Activities Auxiliary to Financial Intermediation (NACE Rev.1 67).
The basic statistical unit on financial statistical data is the enterprise. However, a limited number of variables concerning local units are also provided in this publication, which allows a regional approach.
