In September 2019, the unemployment rate was 6.5%, corresponding to an increase of 0.1 percentage points (pp) from the previous month and to a decrease of 0.1 pp from three months before and from the same month of 2018. That value corresponds also to a downwards revision of 0.1 pp of the provisional estimate released one month ago.
In comparison to the previous month, the unemployed population has increased by 9.3 thousand people (2.8%) and the employed population has increased by 10.4 thousand people (0.2%).
The provisional unemployment rate estimate for October 2019 was 6.5%, the same value from the previous month.
