In the first part, this study aims at giving a portray of the population, housing and employment components within the geographic area comprising municipalities bordering Spain, and those immediately neighbouring the former, making up the national territory named along the analysis as bordering territory.
In the second part, the study sets forth to feature the commuting population as a group of people residing in bordering territories, aged 15 years old or more, active and employed either abroad or in the inner limits of the demographic and socioeconomic area.
The third part sets down a multitude of statistical indicators, drawing a broad portray of the geo referenced mobility with a breakdown at municipality level.
