Summary
In the 4th quarter of 2011, when comparing with the same period of the previous year, the movement of passengers in the airports of Lisbon and Porto increased by 1.8% and 2.3%, respectively. On a national level, for this quarter, there were no significative changes in year-on-year terms.
The transport of goods presented different trends according to each mode of transport, with a reported 0.9% marginal growth in sea transport and year-on-year decreases of 10.8% and 2.9% in heavy railway transport and air transport of cargo and mail, respectively.
