This publication, with statistical data and analysis on the structure of agricultural holdings in Portugal, includes comparisons with the RA 09 and the other Member States of the European Union. Farm Structure Survey 2013 succeeds Agricultural Census 2009 (RA 09) and aims to describe the Portuguese agriculture, such as land structure, agriculture production systems, labour force and agricultural population.

It is expected that this publication could be a reference for a better understanding of he Portuguese agriculture and help to promote discussion and reflection on this sector, particularly convenient when a new programming period of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP 2014-2020) is beginning.
