Statistics Portugal releases the publication Culture Statistics - 2024, which contains the most recent information on the cultural and creative sector. The scope definition of the cultural and creative sector resulted from the consensus established in the framework of the European statistical system, in particularly the Guide to Eurostat Culture Statistics (2018 edition). This definition allows reading by cultural domains of the economic and social context in which cultural activities are developed and the comparability of information within the European Union.

This edition is organized into 13 chapters and covers the following domains: cultural education; cultural employment; consumer prices of cultural goods and services; cultural and creative activities enterprises; international trade in cultural goods; cultural participation; cultural heritage; visual arts; printed materials and literature; audiovisual and multimedia; performing arts; broadcasting and financing of cultural and creative activities.
