Short Data Analyses were created by Statistics Portugal in the 1990s, with the purpose of making available to users a set of simple statistical tables with the main results of one or several statistical operations. Now, statistical tables are associated with press releases that roughly correspond to Short Data Analyses are loaded into the Statistics Portugal's website. As an alternative, information included in these analyses can be loaded into the database and accessed from the statistical indicators.
