In the 4th quarter 2022, the number of licensed buildings was 5.4 thousand buildings, i.e., -3.8% than in the same quarter of the previous year (-6.9% in the 3rd quarter 2022) and 9.5% less when compared to the 4th quarter 2019. Building permits for new constructions decreased by 3.8% (-4.7% in the 3rd quarter 2022 and -3.5% compared to the 4th quarter 2019). The number of renovation permits decreased by 5.2% (-12.6% in the 3rd quarter 2022), corresponding to a decrease of 23.2% compared to the 4th quarter of 2019. Completed buildings decreased by 4.1% (-3, 4% in the 3rd quarter 2022) and increased by 7.2% vis-à-vis the 4th quarter 2019, totalling 3.7 thousand buildings.

When compared with the previous quarter, the number of building permits decreased by 5.9% (-8.3% in the 3rd quarter 2022) and the number of completed buildings increased by 1.5% (+3.4% in the 3rd quarter 2022)

In the year 2022, 24.5 thousand buildings were licensed, and 14.8 thousand buildings were completed, corresponding to decreases of 3.5% and 3.2%, respectively, when compared to 2021 (+8.2% and +3,6%, in the same order, in 2021). Compared with 2019, the increases were 0.7% concerning building permits and 8.1% regarding completed buildings.
