In the 3rd quarter 2019, the movement of passengers at national airports reached 18.8 million, representing a growth of 6.6% (+7.8% in the 2ndQ). The transport in light railway systems increased by 12.0% (+8.5% in the 2ndQ), to 64.6 million passengers. Inland waterways passenger transport also grew: +2.4%, after +8.3% in the 2ndQ.
With the exception of air transport (+17.4%, after +9.1% in the 2ndQ), there were reductions in the movement of goods in various modes of transport: -12.9% in national maritime ports (-9.2% in the 2ndQ), -15.9% by rail (-16.2% in the previous quarter) and -5.8% by road (-3.5% in the preceding quarter).
